Shadow Realm

NOTE: Shadow Realm v3.0 is currently in development, so it is not currently accessible in game.

The Shadow Realm is an extremely difficult, custom End-game dimension. Prepare to actually play a challenging game, as you fight insanely difficult mobs, pillage tons of loot, and gain powerful equipment with custom ““enchants”” through the Augmenting system. Survival is borderline impossible alone, so you'll need to team up with other Gamers to take on the challenge in the shadows…

To even survive entry into the realm, you will need to survive a hit of 148.5 damage. This damage must be taken alone, and cannot be split with other players. This will require full Protection IV diamond armor, blinged out with Perfect Gems, the Resistance effect, and some health boosting items, such as Absorption potion effects or Max Health food. Think of this as the initiation - if you can't survive this, you're going to be woefully undergeared for what awaits you on the other side…

Mechanics

Sanity

An additional stat you must track. This stat drains when you're deeper in the Shadow Realm, when you're at low health, or when you're in darkness. When it's low, you'll start hallucinating mobs and ores - lower still, you'll get negative potion effects such as Blindness and Nausea. Below 10%, you'll start taking ever-increasing unblockable damage until it kills you. Deaths from Sanity cannot be revived using Phoenix Down.

Warmth

Yet another additional stat you must track. This stat decreases when you're in cold areas, and increases when you're in hot areas or next to fire/lava. If it gets too high or too low, you'll start taking ever-increasing unblockable damage until it kills you. Deaths from Warmth cannot be revived using Phoenix Down.

Zones

The Shadow Realm is split into 4 zones:

Zone Coordinates Description
Twilight Zone X:0 - X:3000 The “easiest” zone, from which Tier 0 resources may be extracted. Mobs here will require full Protection IV diamond armor, along with golden apples and healing potions, at a minimum to survive. Note that I say at a minimum - you will NOT be comfortably thriving in this gear - you will be barely clinging onto life!
Midnight Zone X:3000 - X:6000 Tier 1 resources can be found here, requiring Tier 0 equipment to collect. Mobs here will require full augmented Tier 0 equipment to survive.
Abyssal Zone X:6000 - X:9000 Tier 2 resources can be found here, requiring Tier 1 equipment to collect. Mobs here will require full augmented Tier 1 equipment to survive.
Hadal Zone X:9000 - X:12000 Tier 3 resources can be found here, requiring Tier 2 equipment to collect. Mobs here will require full augmented Tier 2 equipment to survive.
Benthic Zone X:12000 - X:15000 The final zone. The final destination. This zone still gives Tier 3 resources, but is insanely scaled to be completely impossible for all but the most skilled players. Well-augmented Tier 3 equipment is an absolute minimum to survive here. Loot chests significantly increase in loot quality as you go further into this zone.
